IWC Schaffhausen introduces The New Portofino Collection

IWC Schaffhausen is a leading swiss luxury watchmaker known for its highest-quality watch movements, Precision, extraordinary design, fine technology and timeless elegance. With the iconic collections of Portugieser and the Pilot's watches, IWC covers a whole spectrum from elegant to sporty watches. The Portofino, however, catches our eye as an innovative creation of dress watches that have set new complexity standards for women.

Harmonizing dial and strap designs, IWC's Portofino collection represents a sophisticated development of timepieces built with the choicest materials and diamonds. From automatic winding and chronograph to the moon phase and day-and-night complications, the collection focuses on the modern woman while also adopting a sustainable approach to timepieces.

The New Portofino collection features a stunning set of women's watches that cater to various styles, preferences and tastes. These skillfully decorated timepieces, many of which feature diamonds, are a perfect addition to the IWC women's collection of watches. The Portofino Automatic 34 collection includes models displaying day and night complications. At the same time, the Portofino Automatic 37 and Portofino Automatic Moon Phase 37 are available in various materials and dial colours with diamond bezels and traceable leather straps, with the latter featuring the fascinating moon phase complication.

Taking a crucial step into the world of traceable straps with their recent Portofino collection, IWC offers traceable Swiss leather straps on their timepieces. Each of these straps comes with a unique code that can be used to trace the origin of the leather used to make the strap.

An integral part of IWC, the Portofino has been adored by women all over the globe for its classic and timeless designs. Recent additions to the collection include the 34, 37 and 39mm models that appeal to a broader range of buyers and collectors. A seamless blend of aesthetics and meticulous structure, the Portofino Automatic Moon Phase 37 is designed to display changes in the moon's shape against a glimmering night sky design featured on the dial. A lesser-known fact about this watch feature is that the moon phase display represents an era when watches hadn't come into being and time was measured based on the moon's direction. IWC offers three variations of the Automatic Moon Phase 37, each with different combinations of materials and hues and a selection of leather and gold metallic straps.

With an enhanced collection of timepieces featuring a 37mm case diameter, IWC also unveiled the Classic Portofino Automatic 37 in six variations. While the 34mm watch models feature a solid case back, the 37mm version features sapphire display windows on the case back. The newest Portofino watches consist of diamonds fitted to the bezel. The Portofino Automatic Day and Night 34mm model features a day and night display at 6 o'clock and a winding crown at 3 o'clock.

The Portofino Chronograph 39 is a sleek combination of the original Portofino design featuring a column-wheel chronograph movement. With a stainless steel case, a silver-plated dial, rhodium-plated hour markers, a sapphire case back, and traceable leather straps, the Portofino Chronograph 39 is a stunning addition to the classic women's collection.

The Portofino is one of IWC's most sought-after collections with a minimalistic pocket-watch design, blending timeless elegance and the sophisticated Mediterranean lifestyle.
