THE PARED-DOWN DESIGN OF THE PIAGET ULTRA-THIN WATCH These designer watches feature elegant lines, elevated by emblematic finishes and echoed by the identifying codes of the dial: off-centre displays, alternating double and simple indexes and “baton” hands. Born in 1957, these bold yet timeless signatures for Swiss luxury watches discretely attract every gaze. The Altiplano ultra-thin watch takes its name from the eponymous plateau nestled in the heart of the Cordillera Andes, whose purity of open, untouched land is directly echoed in the collection’s elegant watches. Altiplano Precious Skeleton watch, 38 mm. Case in 18K rose gold set with 78 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.71 ct). Buckle set with 23 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.05 ct). Sapphire crystal case back. Manufacture Piaget 1200D1 ultra-thin automatic skeleton mechanical movement in 14K rose gold (3 mm) set with 292 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.88 ct) and 11 cabochon-cut rubies (approx. 0.17 ct). Discover one of the world's thinnest diamond-set skeleton self-winding watches, a 38 mm Altiplano rose gold watch with diamonds for men. The 1200D1 movement allows for ultra-thin skeletonised watchmaking, with a movement that's a mere 3 mm thick while the case is 6 mm. A prowess of unbelievable thinness for a Swiss self-winding watch of this complexity, which requires more than four days of work for a single movement. This skeleton watch has a fully gem-set bottom plate and working parts. Brilliant-cut diamonds are delicately set on the main plate, bezel, sapphire case back and bracelet buckles, while the screws themselves are concealed with ruby cabochons to make every inch of it shine.
