The 1912 design of the watch that would later be christened the “Baignoire” demonstrated Cartier's prowess in crafting watchmaking forms. Baignoire de Cartier watch, small model, quartz movement. 18K white gold (750/1000) case set with 227 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 2.3 carats. 18K white gold (750/1000) beaded crown set with a diamond cabochon totaling 0.08 carats. Silvered dial, blued-steel sword-shaped hands, sapphire crystal. Rhodium-finish 18K white gold (750/1000) bracelet. Length: 31.4 mm, width: 23.1 mm, thickness: 7.6 mm. Water-resistant up to 3 bar (approx. 30 meters/100 feet).
