PILOTÕS WATCH CHRONOGRAPH EDITION ÒTOPHATTERSÓ - The PilotÕs Watch Chronograph Edition ÒTophattersÓ is dedicated to the Strike Fighter Squadron 14 based at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California. The PilotÕs Watch Chronograph Edition ÒTophattersÓ is dedicated to the Strike Fighter Squadron 14, which is stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California. The squadron was originally founded in 1919, making it the oldest active Navy squadron. The chronograph features a 44.5-millimetre case made of black zirconium oxide ceramic. The pushers and the crown are made of Ceratanium, an IWC-developed material combining the lightness and robustness of titanium with the hardness and scratch-resistance of ceramic. The squadronÕs patch with the classic top hat can be found at 6 oÕclock on the dial, and also as an engraving on the Grade 5 titanium case back. The day-date display, the tip of the chronograph seconds hand, the small seconds and the stitching on the black strap add eye-catching detailing in the squadronÕs characteristic red. Ticking away inside the case is the IWC-manufactured 69380 caliber chronograph movement. The annual production of this chronograph is limited to 500 pieces.
