Roger Dubuis and Art of Time Present: The Excalibur Monobalancier Lord Ganesha Edition and The Velvet Automatic
A 10-Year milestone calls for something rare. Something meaningful. Something that doesn't just celebrate the passage of time but what that time has stood for. To mark this milestone, Art Of Time partners with the bold and expressive Maison Roger Dubuis to unveil two exceptional timepieces that do just that.
The Excalibur Monobalancier Lord Ganesha Edition
For the first time ever, Roger Dubuis lends its Hyper Horology to an icon from Indian mythology: Lord Ganesha.
The luxury watch features a hand-drawn depiction of the deity on a personalized sapphire glass dial, metallized in pink gold and framed in black and white varnish. The brand’s signature astral star is deliberately omitted, allowing the artistry, and the message, to stand front and center.
Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, takes his place on the wrist an emblem of strength, wisdom, and beginnings. Limited to just 8 pieces, this 42 mm Excalibur Monobalancier Ganesha Edition is crafted in 18K pink gold and powered by the RD720SQ calibre, engineered for stability, efficiency, and aesthetic clarity. With a diamond-coated silicon escapement and 72-hour power reserve, every element reflects the Maison’s technical prowess.
The caseback bears one of 8 unique numbers: an homage to Ganesha’s ashta siddhis (eight divine powers) and Roger Dubuis’ affinity for the number 8.
“This piece is deeply personal. To see Lord Ganesha interpreted with such respect and flair by Roger Dubuis is extraordinary.”
– Gaurav Bhatia, Co-founder & Director, Art of Time
The Velvet Automatic
While the Excalibur leans into power and mythology, the Velvet Automatic finds strength in poise and individuality.
Crafted for women who see a watch as an extension of self, this 36 mm masterpiece stuns with a subtle green mother-of-pearl dial, symbolizing prosperity and grace in Indian culture. The number X (10) is highlighted, marking a decade of Art of Time.
The bezel, lugs, and flange are set with brilliant-cut diamonds, held together by an 18K pink gold case and green leather strap. Inside, the RD830 self-winding calibre delivers precision worthy of the brand’s name. Only 10 pieces, each individually numbered on the caseback.
“The Velvet isn’t just beautiful, it’s confident. A watch for those who define style on their own terms.”
– Bharat Kapoor, Co-founder & Director, Art of Time
This collaboration isn’t about exclusivity for exclusivity’s sake. It’s about creating stories collectors can wear. Icons they can own. Symbols that matter, crafted with care, and made to last.
For Art of Time, it’s a moment of pride. For collectors, it’s a moment to claim.
