IWC Schaffhausen Reimagines An Icon In Dark Mode
IWC Schaffhausen is a titan among haute horology and the watches are celebrated for precision, sporty elegance and functional engineering. The Portugieser Chronograph Ceratanium unveiled by IWC Schaffhausen lets the silhouette take the centre stage with a bold reinterpretation of the classic model with sleek and all black detailing.
Limited to only 1500 pieces, the IWC Portugieser Chronograph Ceratanium preserves the aesthetic of the iconic Portugieser, which showcases mastery in engineering excellence, innovation, and design while exuding monochromatic luxury.

Turning A New Chapter In A Storied Legacy
The Portugieser Chronograph made its debut in 1998 and instantly became a marvel in haute horology, with its sporty elegance complemented with functional elegance in the signature design. The vertically aligned subdials and a quarter second scale encircling the dial have been executed and unified in black.
The monochrome version does not add to it as a colour variant but brings a fresh perspective on the classic icon. The creative director of IWC Schauffhausen shared insights about the watch and stated ‘the Portugieser Chronograph has captivated me from the beginning. I am excited to combine this unique design with Ceratanium®, one of our most significant material innovations.’
The Material & Innovation Behind The Classic Reinterpretation
Every detail of the Portugieser Chronograph Ceratanium has been deliberately considered and executed to perfection. The heart of the watch is the distinctive alloy, Ceratanium. The titanium alloy is subjected to high temperatures to achieve lightness, enhanced by the properties of titanium for refined strength, and undergoes a unique kiln process to acquire the distinctive black finish that contributes to the luxury watch' s uniqueness.
Exhibition Of Performance & Precision
The luxury watch for men exhibits performance and precision with its 69355 chronograph calibre and chronograph movement engineered for reliability and longevity. The watch features a 46 hour power reserve and a column wheel control mechanism makes the watch purposeful as well as beautiful.
The Statement Of Refined Luxury
The Portugieser Chronograph Ceratanium stands out of the crowd for its ability to bridge the gap between iconic designs and classic precision. The limited edition watch makes a compelling statement with its monochrome and dark silhouette carving a distinctive place in the world of modern chronographs.
