IWC brings precision timing to the high-speed world of the APXGP team in the new Formula 1 movie.

Start. Your. Engines.

This summer, IWC Schaffhausen merges cinematic storytelling and horological precision with the release of its F1 Movie Watch Collection—exclusive timepieces featured in the upcoming Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. Developed in partnership with Apple Original Films and inspired by the fictional APXGP team, this series brings the spirit of motorsport into the world of fine watchmaking. Each model blends IWC’s legacy of engineering with race-inspired aesthetics and is now available exclusively at the IWC Boutique, Jio World Plaza, BKC.

Timepieces Inspired by the Big Screen

One of the most anticipated highlights of the collection is the IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41, Reference IW388309. Crafted from 18-carat 5N gold, this chronograph combines refined materials with a technical racing watch aesthetic. The black lacquered dial is paired with gold-plated indices and hands filled with Super-LumiNova®, framed by a black ceramic tachymeter bezel. Powered by the IWC-manufactured calibre 69385 and fitted with a black rubber strap featuring the EasX-CHANGE® system, this timepiece is worn by Damson Idris’ character in the film and embodies the balance of performance and sophistication.

Alongside this are two stainless steel chronographs dedicated to the APXGP team: the 43 mm Pilot’s Watch Chronograph APXGP (Ref. IW378009) and the 41 mm Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 APXGP (Ref. IW388116). Both models share the same design ethos—black dials contrasted with white numerals and gold minute markers, paired with gold-plated hands filled with white Super-LumiNova®. These watches feature tinted sapphire glass casebacks bearing the APXGP team logo, and come with specially engraved rubber straps, engineered with IWC’s convenient EasX-CHANGE® system. Both timepieces are powered by the IWC 69385 calibre and are water resistant to 10 bar, offering durability and race-day readiness in equal measure.

Brad Pitt watches in F1 movie

In a nod to the film’s leading character Sonny Hayes, portrayed by Brad Pitt, Pilot’s Watch Chronograph APXGP - Art Of Time IWC has introduced a special edition of the Ingenieur Automatic 40 with a green dial, Reference IW328908. Limited to just 1,000 pieces, this watch is inspired by the bespoke prop worn by Hayes in the movie—a modern reinterpretation of the Ingenieur SL Reference 1832. With its grid-patterned green dial, gold-plated appliques and hands filled with Super-LumiNova®, the watch channels bold 1970s design with modern refinement. The stainless steel case and bracelet are complemented by IWC’s signature five-screw bezel. It houses the IWC-manufactured calibre 32111, which offers a 120-hour power reserve and magnetic field protection through a soft-iron inner case. This edition represents a rare fusion of cinematic narrative and Swiss engineering.

Where Performance Meets Prestige

The IWC F1 Movie Watch Collection is a celebration of craftsmanship, character, and cutting-edge design. From the distinctive APXGP chronographs to the elegant green-dial Ingenieur, each model delivers exceptional build quality, race-ready functionality, and bold aesthetics suited to collectors of men’s luxury sport watches. These timepieces go beyond on-screen appearances—they are mechanical expressions of high-speed legacy and lifestyle.
