Who stole the show at Watches and Wonders 2024

Watches & Wonders 2024 was a horological dream made for watch enthusiasts, a world of  some jaw-dropping timepieces from 54 amazing Maisons.
Let us walk you through Art Of Time’s top 5 picks of this season that include some real gems.

Cartier

First up, Cartier stole our hearts primitively with the short film that showcased the launch of their novelties on social media with the mantra: A symphony between design and magic. The seamless blend of elegance and enchantment is truly captivating. It felt like stepping into a world where time itself was orchestrated with grace and sophistication. Moreover, their website's interactive elements add an extra layer of engagement, making the exploration of Cartier's novelties not just informative but also immersive and delightful. Their booth was like stepping into a fairytale land, where time itself danced to the rhythm of creativity. The iconic collections like Santos de Cartier and Tank were on full display. The Reflection de Cartier added elegance with mother-of-pearl dials, while colorful updates refresh the Santos de Cartier line- absolutely remarkable!

Panerai

Panerai also caught our eye with their Submersible Luna Rossa collection. Last year, we were all mesmerized by the historic Radiomir, but this year, Panerai is diving deep into its nautical roots with a splash of innovation. What sets this collection apart is its thrilling connection to Luna Rossa Pirelli, the legendary sailing team. It's like Panerai has captured the spirit of high-seas adventure and bottled it into these timepieces. The use of titanium and carbon fiber in the Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience Edition not only adds rugged charm but also symbolizes the relentless pursuit of exploration. With a range of sizes, including two models in 42mm, two in 44mm, and a Tourbillon GMT edition in 45mm. There's a watch to fit every wrist and every seafaring soul- let the Submersible Luna Rossa collection be your compass on your next maritime escapade!

Piaget

This year, Watches and Wonders was huge for Piaget that celebrated its 150th-anniversary with launching their new Polo models and the Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon. The Piaget Polo has always been a classic, and seeing them honor their heritage while introducing two new models was an absolute delight. They've taken a journey back in time but added a modern twist, keeping the essence of the original design alive. And let's talk about the star of the show – the Altiplano. This masterpiece enticed attention with its sleek lines and innovative features- it's a work of art, a testament to Piaget's mastery in watchmaking and innovation. The Altiplano embodies everything about Piaget – sophistication, precision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Cheers to 150 years of Piaget brilliance!

IWC Schaffhausen

IWC has launched an exciting array of new models under their iconic Portugieser collection, and they're nothing short of spectacular. The real eye-catcher is their innovative concept behind the launch: "Atmospheric Moods of Day and Night." It's like they've bottled up the essence of different times of the day and infused it into their timepieces- giving birth to new striking hues- from the dreamy Horizon Blue to the mysterious Obsidian, each shade is like a stroke of brilliance on the canvas of time. However, the major release from the series would be the Portugieser Eternal Calendar where the Double Moon™ display will theoretically only deviate from the moon’s orbit by one day after 45 million years. IWC is officially attempting the Guinness World Record for the most precise lunar phase wristwatch for this spectacular creation and that’s truly exciting.

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Jaeger-LeCoultre's presence at Watches & Wonders 2024 was a celebration of precision like no other! Their new Duometre collection draws one into the world of intricate complications and meticulous craftsmanship. The highlight of the show was undoubtedly the Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual, and it's nothing short of a horological masterpiece! With its triple axis tourbillon and perpetual calendar, it's like a symphony of mechanical ingenuity, showcasing Jaeger-LeCoultre's unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of precision watchmaking. And the Grande Date Perpetual Calendar? Well, it's elegance and functionality personified, adding a touch of sophistication to an already impressive lineup. Jaeger-LeCoultre has truly cemented its legacy as the Precision Maker, and we’re eagerly anticipating the chance to witness these timepieces in action!
Watches & Wonders 2024 was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. These brands have truly outdone themselves with their exceptional timepieces, and the world can't wait to see what they come up with next!  If you're as passionate about watches, stay tuned with Art of Time - it's a journey you won't want to miss!
